Nearest Contacts uses Apple’s geolocation services to determine the geographic location (latitude & longitude) of your contacts, and to determine the street address of your current location for display in the app. The associated network communications are encrypted.

PhotoNav uses Apple’s geolocation services to determine the street address of the displayed photo for display in the app. The associated network communications are encrypted. 

Any Day Journal (no longer supported) uses Apple’s geolocation services to determine the address of your current location for inclusion in journal entries. The associated network communications are encrypted. Any Day Journal attempts to keep your journal contents private by means of Apple-provided on-device encryption. However, this privacy depends on your security practices, such as protecting your device and your backups with secure passwords. Any Day’s journal-locking facility protects against casual intruders, but not against a determined attacker with access to your device.
